Do you head out into the hills and moorland? Do you carry a map but don’t know how to read it properly?
Does learning navigation skills scare you?
We realise that it can be daunting to get your head around this skill, but we will take it back to basics and give you the foundation skills to build on.
We will spend a short time inside where you will be introduced to maps, compasses and grid references and then we will head out into the outdoors to consolidate the skills.
As we take the steps into a slightly different world, it is important we take steps to ensure the safety of clients, staff and members of the public. So, in-line with many other providers we will be making a few changes on how our courses run.
The initial “Classroom” based session will be online (ZOOM) (approx 2 hours) and will be held at a time to suit the group (pre outdoor session.)

Any materials/maps provided by Reiver Guiding will be laminated and wiped down with sanitiser before and after use.
Socially distancing will be adhered to at all times. (2 metres)
Locations will be used that do not either interrupt or put at risk the local community.
Medical declaration with specific reference to Covid-19 symptoms.
Independent travel to location.
Maximum 1:5 ratio for all courses
